Cincinnati Hangs Sixty-Two on Chicago as Commandos put the Smackdown on the Cardinals at the Odeum in Villa Park!Submitted by Don Northup on Tue, 05/04/2010 - 01:27 |
Cincinnati Commandos quarterback Ben Mauk continues his drive towards the CIFL MVP award with a seven touchdown passing performance in CIFL action against Chicago at the Odeum.
EJ Underwood looking like Neon Deon Sanders patrolling the secondary for the Commandos in Chicago making two spectacular interceptions and scoring on one of them to put Cincinnati in command of this game early.
Chicago's almost unheard of eight turnovers insured a swift and brutal demise for the Cardinals. The Cards end up losing 62-22 to the Commandos, the top team in the CIFL.
Robert Redd is a sure candidate as the CIFL's most electrifying player as this man has some of the best moves in the business.
Another CIFL Award candidate is Cincinnati's Dominick Goodman. Goody did not disappoint the Cincy fans this week scoring two more touchdowns in the Commandos 62-22 victory over the Cardinals at the Odeum.
Chris Respress takes this Chicago pick the length of the field scoring six for the Commandos.
In the end this was one serious smackdown as EJ Underwood and the rest of the Cincinnati Commandos ran away with this game early, scoring pretty much at will from almost anywhere on the field. The Cincinnati Commandos are loaded with talent and one must ask themselves, is this Cincy team as good as the '09 Chicago Slaughter were? I don't know for sure, but they are plenty powerful in so many phases of the game that sweeping the CIFL field the rest of the way is not out of the realm of possibilities.

The Wisconsin Wolfpack defense took over this game shutting out the Marion Mayhem in the second half of CIFL play. The Wolfpack are getting used to holding opponents scoreless as they were coming off of a 49-0 road shoutout victory over Fort Wayne last week.
The Marion Mayhem may have stopped number 8 Eric Donoval on this effort, but in the end Donoval electrified the Wisconsin fans gashing Marion for six plus yards per carry, 8 yards per catch, and three touchdowns leading the Wolfpack to a 34-20 home victory at Hartmeyer.
