Mongo's Chicago Slaughter Finish the CIFL Regular Season a Perfect 12-0 Chicago Punishes the Wisconsin Wolfpack in Madison 49-14Submitted by Don Northup on Sun, 05/31/2009 - 05:32 |
Chicago Slaughter defensive lineman Khreem Smith blocks this Paul Schroeder field goal attempt. The Chicago Slaughter defense held the Wisconsin Wolfpack to a meager 14 points in Madison. Without quarterback Tom Stetzer guiding the Wolfpack offense Wisconsin has had trouble putting the ball in the endzone.
Reggie Davis opened the scoring in this game with this touchdown catch and run. Davis was one of the few bright spots on an otherwise dreary night for the Wisconsin Wolfpack football team. The Wolfpack have now lost three times to Chicago this season, and depending on the outcome the games next week, the Wolfpack may end up facing Chicago for a fourth time this season in the opening round of the CIFL playoffs.
Big Play Reggie Gray had a good day at WR for the Chicago Slaughter. Gray is a very dangerous weapon both at wide receiver and on special teams and he played well on the road in Madison.
Chicago head football coach Steve McMichael has guided his Slaughter football team to a perfect 12-0 regular season record. Only two more wins stand between Mongo and the Continental Indoor Football League Championship.
